Online Help - Draft Criteria

The draft criteria screen lets you create formulas instead of lists, to use with each of your draft picks. When attached to a draft pick, your scout will use the formula that you create to find the best player avalible in the draft that matches your criteria.

After naming your criteria, you need to select which positions the formula will apply to. You can select up to 3 positions, and these can also be general poistions such as "All Offense", etc.

You can then create four formulas, or criteria, to use when drafting a player at the positions you have specified. Criteria 1 is always used first, but in the event of two or more players having the same result, the player will then sort by criteria 2, 3 and lastly 4 to get the best player.

For each of the criteria you may select up to three attributes and place a weight on each of these attributes. The attributes avalible are :

  • Rating             - The players current rating.
  • Skill              - The players current skill.
  • Speed              - The players current speed.
  • Strength           - The players current strength.
  • Potential Rating   - Your scout's prediction for potential rating.
  • Potential Skill    - Your scout's prediction for potential skill.
  • Potential Speed    - Your scout's prediction for potential speed.
  • Potential Strength - Your scout's prediction for potential strength.
  • The weight you add to each of these attributes give them preference in your formula. An example criteria could be :

    ( 3 x Potential Rating ) + ( 1 x Skill ) + ( 1 x Speed )

This means that you are three times more interested in what the players potential rating may be than you are with his current skill and speed.
